Providing decision support tools to mainstream school and local government leaders

Forecast5’s strategy has always been focused on three guiding questions; How am I doing? How do I com-pare? and What does the future look like? To start they used data that government organizations were al-ready mandated to produce. Strategically organizing and combining produced powerful visualizations. Next, they began to build on other ideas like geo-spatial, survey-based and trend data. The most influential forces driving development are attributes of clients such as willingness to collaborate, need to be transparent and consistent financial pressure. The challenge is matching the cost of data analytics with the skills of public sector leadership.
